Voemna Pass
Voemna Pass
Type: Mountain Pass Nation: Othaala Region: Amekia Sector
Overview
A natural pass through the northern Flokcek Mountains in the Amekia Sector, serving as the primary defensive chokepoint against the Huozhese invasion in Book II. A natural corridor of staggered cliffs and stone bluffs forming a wide trough, with a small stream running sluggishly through its center fed by snowmelt and springs. The land between the slopes slopes inward on both sides like an immense natural bowl, making it ideal for defensive staging.
By the time of the battle, Raomi Allamaera has transformed it into a formidable position: trench lines scored across the floor with carefully packed stone-and-wood walls, tarp-covered pits deep enough to swallow a man, hidden spike nets, snare wires beneath brush, roped trip hazards, and fallback barricades every hundred meters through the full length of the pass. The higher western shelf has scaffolding for archers and lookouts. Engineers worked without full nights' rest from the 25th of Uyathirnd forward to prepare it.
