Arveshia
Arveshia
Tier: God (One of the Eleven) Element: Shadow Parent/Origin: Polaena
Overview
Arveshia is the Goddess of Shadow and the seventh of Polaena's ten children, twin to Ulmanae, the God of Light. She is among the most personally present of the gods in the story, developing a close and informal friendship with Anue Beidaka and Chuntian Zhenfung over the course of Book I and Book II. Dark-skinned with thick, curly hair and an aura of contained, non-malicious power, she appears in a black dress with silver woven designs. Her speech shifts between formal and casual depending on her mood and company, and she has stated a preference for treating her Gemwielder as a familiar rather than a subordinate. Chuntian described sensing her mana as infinite, kind, and reverent.
She is the one who placed the Gem of Shadow within Anue Beidaka, making Anue her extension. The Gem is described as intrinsically linked to Arveshia herself: if the Gem were taken, Anue would die and Arveshia would fall to The Low.
