Overview
A'Amaer is the nation of the Ghouls, existing specifically to house those who have undergone the Risen process — individuals deemed unworthy of entering Polaena's realm upon death, reborn in Ghoulish form for a second chance at Redemption. Its capital, Spola, sits on and around Lake Spola in the central Sa'amas region. Ghouls have no solid form; things can be touched by them, but cannot touch them in return. The A'Amaerian language, with its heavy emphasis on sibilant sounds, is thought to have developed partly from speech patterns within the Ghoulish population. A'Amaer gained independence from Godalosvia during the Ghoulish Independence event of the Wyvernal Era, with the assistance of King Colchebushev.

History
A'Amaer was subjugated under the Human nation of Godalosvia before regaining sovereignty during the Wyvernal Era in the event known as Ghoulish Independence, facilitated by King Colchebushev. The nation's existence is theologically ordained — it serves as the ground for Polaena's Redemption process.
Notes
- The Redemption process is ongoing rather than a historical event; A'Amaer's entire social and national function is built around housing the Ghoulish population seeking Redemption
- The sibilant character of the A'Amaerian language is linked to the speech patterns of Ghouls
