Overview

Othaala is the nation of the Elves, occupying the westernmost portion of Alatrya. It is the most culturally and academically developed nation on the continent, with a strong tradition of music, law, and scholarship. The capital, Lumen, sits atop the Yavathre Plateau in the Yavathre Sector and is governed by Queen Namerethe. Othaala built the first democratic constitutional monarchy on the continent, balancing royal authority with the National Senate since the Conception Era. The nation is home to the Baodia Sector, the only racial refuge for Demons within an Elven nation, established following the Second Elven-Demonic War. The twin deities Ulmanae and Arveshia are especially revered here.

Geography (Notable)

The Yavathre Plateau dominates the central-eastern interior. The Bhahare Mountains in the north mark the Elves' earliest settlement sites. Major rivers include the Sovithiena River, Alavi River, Plamauthe River, Shobrae River, and Collavajaen River. The Lovante Peninsula and Sohbra Peninsula extend into the southern sea. Notable forests include Pfapohrrv Forest, Daegrakce Forest, and Alavi Woods. The Slovaera Mountains rise in the central-eastern Yavathre area.

History

The Elven people first settled the Bhahare Mountains in the early Conception Era, eventually unifying into the nation of Otanlla before expanding into what is now Othaala. The Second Elven-Demonic War against Huozhi resulted in Othaala annexing the Baodia region from Huozhi, opening it to Demonic refugees. By the time of Book II, Huolong's invasion forces are pushing into Othaala from the east, and the Almaeji River corridor becomes a key strategic zone.

Notes

• Othaala is relatively insular; the only non-Elven population permitted permanent residency is the Demonic refugee community in Baodia
• The Pyantyadha Eltyr has cells within Othaala; at least one Church official, Qirai Alvetavjh of Nneminik, is secretly aligned with hostile forces
