Anue Beidaka
Race: Elves Ethnicity: Northern Moon Elves Nation: Othaala
Description
A tall Moon Elf from the Yavathre District of Lumen, with pale skin, red eyes, and jet-black hair typical of Northern Moon Elves. Wields both Shadow and Fire elements, the latter being rare alongside the Shadow Gem. Her Gem manifests as an abstract black splotch rather than a clean geometric stone, a contrast to the more organized gems of her companions. Carries a staff that doubles her Fire spell power, given to her by a Dwarf named Kebi, and a sword of his making. Also carries a Shadow Box.
Role in Story
The primary protagonist of first two books. Gemwielder of Shadow and extension of Arveshia. Her journey begins when she leaves Lumen after the suicide of her boyfriend Emaera Yuhava and the intolerable environment created by her abusive mother Valaeria Beidaka. She discovers her Gem in Pfapohrrv Forest and gradually assembles the other Gemwielders across Book I, eventually leading the group toward Ranshao in Book II.

- Emaera Yuhava — deceased boyfriend; his death is the inciting departure from Lumen
- Valaeria Beidaka — mother; abusive, estranged
- Tavu Beidaka — father
- Torra Beidaka — younger sibling
- Dakkai Eletha — close friend and mentor figure from Aevatre Ajjael

History
Born and raised in the Yavathre District of Lumen. Her home life was defined by her mother's cruelty and her father's quieter presence. Her relationship with Emaera and her friendship with Dakkai were her primary anchors. After Emaera's suicide, she could no longer stay. She left her home, was attacked by her mother verbally on the way out, and teleported to the front of Aevatre Ajjael — the last place she and Emaera shared together — before continuing her journey east across the Plateau. She found her Gem in Pfapohrrv Forest and encountered Chuntian shortly after.
In Book I she completed the Lothaka (mountain) trials, visited Vahhlve and found Sa Paelnathe, survived Vyrmyr's Voidrealm assault, and assembled the core Gemwielder group at Kaedoa. In Book II the group moves toward Ranshao as the war with Huozhi unfolds around them.
