Unholy Beings
The Low
The Low
Tier: Unholy God
Overview
An ancient and deeply patient evil who dwells in the depths of Alatrya, residing in Cytana, the capital of Prylkya, the Lowworld. Commonly referred to by worshipers and his sons as the 'Would-Be'. An entity representing evil and death. Temples dedicated to his worship exist in secret across Alatrya, once thought to be myth.
Appearance
Tall and imposing presence. Wears robes the color of red wine. Has white eyes that catch light like frost. Moves and speaks with almost psychopathic calm, using silence as punctuation.
Goals
Seeks not conquest in the traditional sense, but the severing of the Eleven's link to the land, stripping them of magical authority and unmaking their hold over the continent. Believes Alatrya is a vessel whose power has been leeched by the gods and the Polaenian Church, and wishes to allow the land to "heal" into something new. Manipulates mortal rulers, most notably Huolong, as instruments to clear the way, treating war as a catalyst rather than an end to all things.
Followers / Cult

- Three Iniquitous Maidens — mothers of his three sons
- Scattered mortal cultists across Alatrya, particularly within Frithre and Othaala, called the Pyantyadha Eltyr
History
Orchestrated the campaign of Huolong against Othaala from behind the scenes, appearing in person to manipulate him directly. Operates in disguise among Huolong's war council as an advisor at points during Book 2.
Notes
- His sons are half-gods, powerful, but their power falls short of his own, preventing them from conquering independently
- Has the ability to appear in a disguised mortal form
- Quote: "The land was never meant to be divided by blood, nor by race. It is shaped by power."
